Posters from the Ralph Bakshi Lord of the Rings
There were approximately 10 posters made that incorporate the promotional artwork from the Bakshi Lord of the Rings movie. These include the conventional movie posters that appear in the theater lobby as well as posters that are merchandised and sold retail. Posters and other items from this movie were sold through an interest group called The Fellowship. Individuals subscribed to the Fellowship and received a newsletter, bumper stickers and other introductory items. The newsletter also included advertisements for numerous items, from t-shirts to posters. Here is an ad illustrating three of the posters. The standard one-sheet movie poster of Gandalf and two Hobbits is relatively easy to find; the others are far more difficult. I have not seen the others come up at an internet auction in a long while.
